Making your home your Barbie Dreamhouse

When I wake up, in my own pink world…

Hey Barbie! Autumn is upon us and that means it’s time to update and refresh your home.

This summer, Barbie dominated pop culture and as we head into a new season, it’s time to turn your home into your Barbie Dreamhouse. Your space is your place to relax and unwind.

Here’s how you can upgrade your home and make small changes for a big difference while

keeping it aesthetic and on trend.

Accessorize your home

Whether you are a minimalist or a maximalist, accessories can make a big difference to your space.

In autumn, you should always be burning a candle. Oliver Bonas offer candle holders with an elegant, classy and vintage style. The pastel pink glass holder should be paired with bright or pastel dinner candles to enhance the look depending on your style. Arranging this with pillar candles, jar candles and tealights will add variety to your home.

For a more unusual look, invest in a lamp shaped candle. A Tortoiseshell candle will

create a warm glow and is lily scented to keep your space smelling fresh.

In addition to a candle collection, every Barbie should have a skincare fridge. This little

addition to your dressing table or bathroom will enhance not only your skincare storage but

also your skincare routine.

Beauty Bay offer the Beauty Cooler Skincare Fridge in four perfect colours for your Barbie Dreamhouse: pink, soft lilac, white and blush pink. The fridge is suitable for face mists, masks, serums, tools and creams and ‘you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it’.

Add fresh flowers

Adding flowers to your home can elevate your mood, complement existing décor, create

fresher air and leave you with a more inviting space.

Bloom & Wild offer a flower subscription service so you can get fresh flowers delivered to your door regularly. Each bouquet is inspired by the changing seasons and features rare

stems which are guaranteed to last for a week or longer.

You can adapt your plan to your needs, choosing the frequency and style of the flowers you would like to receive.

To arrange your flowers so they look their best, you should have a good vase. The Ayla Pink

Glass Vase from Oliver Bonas is a ‘statement feature, enhanced with a textured pink

glaze and dramatic scalloped lip’. Its glistening pink sheen is subtle yet timeless.

For something more unusual, place your flowers into a Strawberry Vase. This bold vase

will create a modern and artistic feel to your apartment. The ceramic vase is handmade and

painted with attention to detail creating a high-quality piece.

To maintain the girly vibes, purchase pink – it goes with everything.

Every Barbie needs a bar cart

To accessorize your bar cart, you’ll need all the essentials such as a Espresso Martini Set.

This luxury high quality set comes with a cocktail shaker and two gold-rimmed cocktail

glasses.

You should also purchase spirits such as vodka, rum and gin along with wine. Don’t forget some mixers, you should always have tonic water and soda.

For some inspiration on what drinks you can make, you’ll also need a cocktail recipe

book. The Alchemist Cocktail Book will allow you to ‘elevate your mixology skills and

bring some creativity to your bar cart’.

Finally, to decorate your bar area, you should invest in retro style prints from Etsy, which will allow you to create a colourful wall gallery.
