From the Grammys to the Golden Globes: this award season's best looks

Updated: Oct 4, 2023

Every February, our favourite celebrities gather for the hottest season in Hollywood: award season. The only thing more exciting than seeing our idols get the recognition they deserve is the outfits the stun us with. Singers, actors, and producers all bring their fashion A-game on the red carpet, so read on for our favourite A-list looks...

Lizzo

Always one to make an entrance, American singer Lizzo is renowned for elegant and outlandish evening looks. Keeping to her streak of wearing iconic award show attire, Lizzo donned a glorious floral red cape. Deemed a ‘wearable garden’ by Vogue, the look was ideal for the start of the spring season.

Cate Blanchett

It’s no secret that sustainable vintage pieces are all the rage these days and showing us how to rock second-hand looks at the BAFTAs was Cate Blanchett. The actress gave an old Oscars award dress a second opportunity to steal the show this February.

The actress mined her award show archives to revive a little black Maison Margiela dress that she looked equally stunning in eight years ago at the 2015 Oscars. Elevating her look to old Hollywood heaven, Blanchett accessorised with pearl beads by Louis Vuitton that gave an added elegance to the vintage gown.

Sheila Atim

Taking inspiration from the extra-terrestrial realm this spring, British actress Sheila Atim stunned the BAFTAS in her metallic gown and glove two-piece. The Prada gown was elevated by silver jewels by Chopard.

Cardi B

Electric blue has never been so…electric. Donning Gaurav Gupta at the Grammy’s Cardi B wore what may have been her best award show look yet. The rap artist is known for eccentric fashion, but this look was on a whole other level.

Cardi's blue swirl look was followed by an equal stunning Paco Rabanne gown that paid tribute to the designer who sadly passed away earlier this month.

Michelle Yeoh

When we picture a red carpet look, our minds naturally wonder to a flowing gown or an OTT two-piece. But, with the rise of gender- neutral fashions in the past few years, suits, nudes, and business casual looks made a recurring debut on the red carpet this award season.

Showing us just how to rock the feminine suit was Malaysian actress, Michelle Yeoh. The Avatar actress sported an elegant mink Dior suit.
