TikTok took the world by a storm during the few months we were stuck within the confines of four walls. From innovative dance moves to finding new songs to update your playlist, TikTok had something to keep everyone busy and distracted from the epidemic around us. And yes, that also included short and incredibly innovative videos for us beauty geeks!

Listed below are few TikTok favourite beauty hacks that just make sense!!!!!

1- Mascara Hack: We all love the idea of gorgeous volumizing lashes with that sharp curl and natural look. But it’s not in everyone’s agenda or budget to get lash extensions or splurge on those fake lashes. Here is a hack by mirandaalynnn, using your favourite mascara bottle and a blow dryer. Have a look at this video!

2- Gua Sha: Similar to Jade roller, and often used together, Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese healing technique and a form of beauty therapy that involves sculpting and scraping your face, massaging it with a tool to improve your circulation. Gua Sha tools can be quite pricey. However, several beauty websites and stores sell them for affordable rates. Pair the massage tool with some of your favourite facial oil and follow these steps by straightupskincare and enjoy a quick and relaxing at-home facial massage.

3- Plump Lips hack: Most of us spend hours with lipliners and lipsticks, struggling to achieve a look with full and plump lips. This TikTok hack by hayleybuix shares a super simple guide on achieving a soft and plump lip look with just a concealer, your choice of lip liner, and a colour to top it off with!

4: Floating crease: A trending eye-makeup look taking the cut crease look to a whole new level. Cutcreaser (Vanessa) took the beauty world by a storm with bright and creative eye looks featuring neon and pastel tones, perfectly drawn flowers, and dramatic rainbows. Have a try at this gorgeous neon blue eye!

5- The natural look: It’s fun to glam up and confidently walk out the door with a fresh face of makeup. It’s also a pleasure (and a relief) to brush on just a few products giving you a natural and minimalistic look. Have a look at this TikTok by elleerasmus for a natural makeup guide.

Have a go with some of these fun beauty trends. It'll be a great way to try something new and who knows, you'll probably invent something too!
