The best face-masks for budgets

As we head back into that exciting time of year where cheerful Christmas music is all you hear on the radio, we sadly have to endure harsher winds, rain coming down by the bucket-full and the sun rarely appearing for more than a few hours.

With all of this kept in mind, it is no wonder that many people experience dry, uncomfortable, or tight skin throughout the winter-time.

Luckily, there are many face masks on the market that can protect and heal your skin and today, I’ve rounded up the top three most effective masks for a student budget on the market.

The Overnight: Burt’s Bees Hydrating Overnight Mask (£6.99):

This is the perfect addition to a lazy pamper night! Simply apply a layer from the tube before you go to bed and wash it off the next day to be left with perfectly supple skin. Jam-packed with avocado oil, this mask is extremely hydrating and best for the driest of skin types that need a little bit of TLC. It is best to give this mask a miss if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin as it has quite a thick formula, but dry skin will adore its revitalising properties.

The Hydrator: Dr Jart’s Hydration Lover Rubber Mask (£10):

The priciest item on this list, this mask has been growing in popularity online due to its slightly frightening appearance. The mask itself is made of rubber and comes in two separate parts so that each section fits perfectly to the contours of your face- no more struggles of having the outer corners of your face neglected by a small mask! Containing a multitude of good ingredients- such as seaweed extract- this mask soothes the skin and provide long-lasting hydration.

The All-Rounder: Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask (£2.99):

This mask is my all-time favourite as it is extremely affordable and full of product which leaves skin feeling amazing. Both hydrating and cooling, this mask is packed with hyaluronic acid, with one sheet providing the equivalent of a week’s worth of serum in one short go. Despite being so full of product, this mask doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or clogged afterwards. It is also available with a variety of main ingredients- pomegranate is my personal favourite as it gives your face a beautiful glow!

In the hard months of winter, and particularly this year, it can be so hard to feel like you are in control of anything. However, I wholeheartedly believe that keeping control of how my skin looks and feels with the help of these face masks has given me a major boost in confidence- I hope they do that for you too.
