One Palette, lots of News Year's Eve looks.

The new Urban Decay Stoned Vibes eyeshadow palette is the perfect party accessory. It. comes with ten different shades, eight of which being incredibly pigmented sparkly colours. Any one of them will help you to create a New Year’s Eve make up look that you won’t forget.

For Christmas I treated myself to a new palette – the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes. Upon opening, one is immediately amazed by the amazing colour palette. As usual for the brand, they are incredibly pigmented and just a little dab with the accompanying brush gets you very far.

Jade and Good Karma

The first colour which intrigued me quite a bit and inspired me for this simple look is called “Jade”:

I used its light, sparkly green on my lid and under my eye to frame it. To top it off, I used some “Good Karma”, a very light beige, on my inner eye. This way it appeared bigger, brighter and also made it seem like I was not sleep deprived after just a few hours of sleep. For the lipstick, I went for a Clinique Chubby Stick in the colour “Two Ton Tomato”, creating a nice contrast between the green on my lids and the red on my lips.

Opal Aura, Ojo and Good Karma

For the second look, I went for a mix between the sparkly silver shade “Opal Aura” and the royal blue colour “Ojo”:

I used “Opal Aura” broadly for the base and gave it a blue shimmer by dabbing some “Ojo” on the outside of my lid and blending it towards the inside. I normally don’t really opt for a blue eye make-up as I usually prefer warmer colours but, why not start the new year by giving my eyes a sparkly blue companion? After all, one of my resolutions for 2021 is to not hold back when it comes to my make-up. Finally, I put some “Good Karma” on my inner eye and choose a nude pink Burt’s Bees lipstick in “Carolina Coast” to not guide the attention away from my very sparkly eye makeup.

Tiger’s Eye, Hexed and Good Karma

You’re probably thinking “Here we go again” with Good Karma but honestly, I’m obsessed with its light shimmer and I couldn’t think of a better shade to use on my inner eye. This look is probably most similar to the one I go for everyday with my beloved Naked palette. With a warm glitter shade like “Tiger’s Eye”, you’re good to go.

To make the look a little bolder for my New Year’s Eve Zoom party – after all, they say you should put more make-up on in front of a screen! – I add a little bit of “Hexed” in the outer corners of my eyes and blended it towards the outside for a more dramatic finish. My favourite tip is to go for a light glitter shade and carefully place it under the eye; then, pull it back to create a little wing on the outer corner, making eyeliner unnecessary. For the lips, I went with my trusty Clinique “Mega Melon” Chubby Stick which gives your lips a nice tint and a lot of moisture.

Whatever your resolutions may be for the new year, I hope you’ll add buying the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette to your list. I cannot recommend this enough and I am already torn about which colours to use for NYE. I’m honestly obsessed with every single shade and will probably solely use this palette whenever I leave the house in 2021.
