How to Achieve the Perfect Last-minute Halloween Make-up Look

Halloween is just a few hours away! Some people like to plan their looks months in advance, but even if you do things last-minute it doesn’t mean you can't pull off a stunning look that will last all night as you dance your way through a spooky evening.

Professional face paints are sure to last through a night of partying, but what are you going to do with them after Halloween? It feels like a waste to spend the money for just one night. But you can raid your existing makeup stash for long-lasting products that you probably use every day.

Liquid Lipstick and Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils

Liquid lipsticks make for great face paint, just grab a fine eyeliner brush and let your imagination run wild. Red is perfect for fake blood, and bolder colours, like green, purple, orange, etc., can be used for drawing fun designs like spiderwebs, pumpkins, and skulls. Normal bullet lipsticks tend to smudge, but liquid lipsticks will stay in place no matter how wild your night gets.

Another handy product, that is formulated to last, is eyeliner pencils. They come in an array of fun colours, can be inexpensive, and you can use them for looks outside of Halloween. They offer more precision than paint and a brush, so you can add more detail to your designs.

Less truly can be more

Perhaps drawing complicated designs of skulls and pumpkins feels like a little much. You can turn an everyday makeup look into a costume party-approved one with a little creativity and the right accessories. '90s supermodel, Victoria's Secret Angel, TikTok's Tomato Girl, Strawberry Makeup, or Rockstar Girlfriend, these can all become great costumes. The simpler your makeup is, the easier it is to keep it looking flawless throughout the night, and long-wear foundation and waterproof mascara are things most of us already have in our makeup bags.

For full-glam looks, make sure to bring your powder and lipstick for touch-ups. If you rock up to the party in a silky robe, your powder compact can even become part of your costume—imagine yourself as a model, getting ready for a show. Fresh looks such as strawberry makeup will look even dewier as you dance the night away, and smudging your eyeliner will only add to the charm of the rockstar girlfriend look.

Enjoy your frightful Halloween night out and party worry-free, knowing that your look will stay in place throughout the night!
